Dr Kanaka Jeyaraman is a senior endocrinologist with many years of experience in the field of Endocrinology. Patients with low testosterone
Low testosterone is a challenging condition to diagnose. You will receive a pre-appointment information letter to read and agree to before making an appointment.
Driving license medical assessment
- Dr Jeyaraman uses the National driver medical standards for driving license medical assessment. (https://austroads.com.au/publications/assessing-fitness-to-drive/ap-g56/diabetes-mellitus/medical-standards-for-licensing-2).
- For patients with type 1 diabetes not known to our service, one-off appointment for license paperwork is not offered.
- For patients with type 2 diabetes on insulin, one-off appointment for license paperwork will be considered if you monitor blood sugars at home. Blood sugar monitoring at least for six weeks before the appointment is required for the license medical assessment.
- For patients with type 2 diabetes on oral medications, please ensure you have a HbA1c done within three months of the appointment and eye test if not done within a year and bring blood sugar records if you monitor blood sugars at home.
